Our competencies for e-mobility at a glance
Webasto demonstrates its examples of electromobility solutions in an illustrative way with a futuristic concept study. An efficient battery system provides the power and a high-voltage heater regulates the temperature in the interior. Webasto is using the vehicle roof as a large innovation area. Thanks to integrated solar cells, the battery and the heater are also capable of harvesting the power of the sun. Integrated switchable glazing provides pleasant shading to protect against the sun and create a cozy atmosphere in the vehicle’s interior. At the touch of a button, the glass cover darkens or becomes transparent again.
Individualized battery systems
With the Webasto modular design approach, we successfully develop customized or "build-to-print" battery solutions for both passenger and commercial vehicles according to customer specifications. An example is the battery for electric vehicles (BEV) for our customer Hyundai-Kia Motors Corporation in Dangjin, South Korea.

CV Standard Battery System for commercial vehicles
With a system configuration of 400 or 800 volts and up to 630 kilowatt-hours, the Webasto CV Standard Battery System is suitable for all types of commercial vehicles and off-highway machines. The battery system offers robust packaging, automotive standard design, highest quality and safety as well as an efficient cooling interface.
CV NextGen Battery for commercial vehicles
The NextGen Battery for commercial vehicles is the further development of the Webasto CV Standard Battery and offers additional advantages. It has a higher energy density and needs less mounting space. It is currently being developed to the highest safety standards and will come with a simplified installation interface.

High Voltage Heater (HVH)
For ambient conditions with particularly high heating requirements, the high-voltage heater (HVH) is an ideal addition. The powerful heating system for hybrid and electric vehicles heats both the driver's cabin and batteries. The HVH 100 provides up to 10 kilowatt of heating power and operates with voltages of up to 870 volts. The same power with a smaller size and weight is also delivered by the HVH 100 Compact, which will be available from 2024. Additionally, starting from next year, Webasto will offer the HVH 120 (12 kilowatt), providing a high-performance solution for trucks in their portfolio.
High-voltage Next Generation Coolant Heater
The HVH 90 Next Generation Coolant Heater is a novel high-voltage heating system consisting of proven ceramic heating solutions integrated into a space-optimized heat exchanger. Its sophisticated platform strategy will enable it to serve 400 volt and also 800 volt vehicle architectures. The heater output is scalable from 3 to 6 to 9 kilowatt. It is specifically designed to meet customers' increasingly tight installation space and weight targets.
