Everyone who wants to tinker, develop and, above all, enjoy new challenges with us - whether students, IT professionals or technology fans: you can participate as a formed team or as an individual.
Let's join our forces - for a joint future of autonomous driving! At our Makeathon, your visions become reality: This is where your creative ideas and technical solutions meet our expertise as the global market leader for roof systems. Apply now - we are looking forward to meeting you!
Take part - think big - have fun
Which team will crack the challenge we set you? Who will find the best solution and implement their ideas most creatively? Together with you, we want to work on a roof system for autonomous driving. We'll provide the location and everything else you need to give your ideas free rein together with your teammates.
So: You are creative, technically versed and interested in the mobility of tomorrow? Then we look forward to getting to know you, because to strengthen our experienced and creative team, we are always on the lookout for young, innovative minds to expand our field of vision.
Who are you?
Whether you are a control engineer, big data scientist, mechatronics engineer, electronics or control unit developer - you should have the following skills: working with sensor data is nothing new for you, you can understand terms like "lidar point clouds", "camera streams" or "sensor availability and sensor view" even without Google, and AR/VR, big data, data science or machine learning are exciting topics for you. Fits? Then the Makeathon is exactly the right event for you.
Who are we?
We are innovation drivers, a traditional and a dynamic family business, visionary trailblazers for the mobility of today and tomorrow, and global market leaders for roof systems and heaters.
With our expertise in roof systems, heating and cooling, batteries and charging systems, we offer solutions for every drive and support our customers in the transition to electromobility. To actively shape the future of autonomous driving, we are looking for bright minds, innovative thinking and team players. Interested?

What's in for you?
Show what you can do - not just on paper, but on a concrete project. You have the unique opportunity to actively tinker with a roof system for autonomous driving and the evaluation, processing and visualization of sensor data.
In this way, you drive innovation and can network with high-level experts to shape your professional development. You will also receive a certificate from us that will certainly look good in your application documents.
What to expect?
All participants will be divided into teams and will receive a challenge. In the challenges you will deal with topics around environmental sensing, visualizations, sensor data and sensor availability.
At the end of the event, the ideas and solutions of all teams will be pitched in front of an expert jury and there will be something to win.
With our Roof Sensor Module, we have developed a concept for autonomous driving that succeeds in integrating sensor technology into the car roof in a visually attractive way. Our experts will tell you more about it at the Makeathon.
Do you have further questions about the event? Then please send us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The term Makeathon is a play on words from "to make" and "marathon" and is an interactive format for everyone who wants to make a difference with their creative ideas. In agile and interdisciplinary teams, people design and program together. Within a very short time, technological concepts are developed or innovative prototypes are created.
You simply apply with your data via the registration link. The number of participants is limited, you will receive an email informing you if you are included and of course everything else what is important for your participation.
Basically we focus on students from the 4th semester (Bachelor) on. Young professionals who have already gained some work experience are also welcome.
Nothing, participation is free of charge and you only pay for your travel expenses.
No, you will meet many open-hearted and dynamic people and we have a networking event on the first evening. We also do team matching in advance.
We offer overnight accommodations at a nearby hotel. If you prefer to stay overnight at the location, bring your personal gear, such as a sleeping bag and sleeping pad (unless you like sleeping on hard ground).
Please bring your laptop, charging cable, mobile device and necessary hygiene items. We will provide you with a workspace, high-speed internet access, extensive equipment, and support from our experts. You are also welcome to use your own tools and programs - please provide us with the relevant information when registering, and we can take care of the technical requirements.
We will provide you with food, drinks and snacks during the weekend.
