Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart Appointed New Member of the Webasto Supervisory Board

Stockdorf/Munich – April 18, 2019 – Webasto SE has appointed Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart (69) as a new member of its Supervisory Board. Ziebart succeeds Claus Möhlenkamp (53). Möhlenkamp, Chief Executive Officer of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, resigns from the Webasto board. Franz-Josef Kortüm, Chairman of the Webasto Supervisory Board, expressed his sincere thanks to Möhlenkamp for his valued advisory support in the development of the company group.

In Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart, Webasto has gained a technology enthusiast and authority on the automotive and electronics industry as a member of its Supervisory Board. For more than 20 years, the graduate engineer has worked at BMW primarily in product development and manufacturing, where—as a board member—he most recently was responsible for development and purchasing. Ziebart subsequently held positions on the board of Continental, as CEO of semiconductor manufacturer Infineon and as Engineering Director at Jaguar Land Rover, where the Jaguar I-Pace was designed and developed under his lead management. Ziebart currently holds supervisory board seats in several companies and is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of German wind turbine manufacturer, Nordex.

Following the appointment of Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart, the Supervisory Board of Webasto SE now is composed as follows: Franz-Josef Kortüm (Chairman), Werner Baier (Deputy Chairman), Gerhard Mey, Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart and employee representatives Reinhard Bersch and Mirco Eschrich.
