METS 2018: Webasto Shows New Products for Perfect On-Board Comfort

Stockdorf/Amsterdam – November 13, 2018 – At METS, the world's biggest marine equipment show, Webasto, the reliable partner for climate management at sea, together with Indel Webasto Marine is exhibiting its heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and roof systems at booth 603/703 in hall 12. On display for the first time is the new Ultimate Cabin Control unit, which suppresses the humming noise emissions from the air handlers used in air-conditioning systems and, at the same time, allows multiple air handlers to be connected. The Folding Shade 2500 and Rolling Shade 2500 shading systems, that were introduced last year, are now also available for higher volume production. Further new products on display at the Webasto booth are the DR30 Marine drawer refrigerator and the exclusive Divino The One wine cooler which can be activated simply by touching its crown.

New control unit optimizes air-conditioning control
The Ultimate Cabin Control from Webasto provides two functions at the same time by silencing and networking the air handlers of the BlueCool A-Series air-conditioners. Its electronic controller has been optimized such that noise is no longer perceptible in the interior of the boat at all, when it is operating at its lowest speed setting. This has the effect of making AC fans as quiet as DC fans. The Ultimate Cabin Control is capable of controlling all of the available BlueCool A-Series air handlers, either individually or several units simultaneously. For larger salons it is possible to connect multiple control units in series and operate all installed air handlers via a single MyTouch display. Webasto manufactures a wide range of chiller units of various sizes and is exhibiting several of these at METS 2018.

Fully tailored Marine Shading Solutions
The Folding Shade 2500 and Rolling Shade 2500 sun shade systems from Webasto, that were introduced at the METS exhibition in 2017, provide optimum protection from the sun while at sea. They are easily operated at the press of a button and are very durable – even in the environment of seawater and salty air. They can furthermore be fully tailored in terms of their length, width, curvature, fabric and color to the shape and appearance of the boat. All this is available in widths of up to 2,500 mm. The shading solutions are suitable for use on the stern and on the flybridge and are from now on available for higher volume production.

From pleasantly cool through cold to icy
The Indel Webasto Marine refrigerators and freezers for marine applications keep everything on board cool – and cold – and are tailored exactly to your desired temperature and available space. The Isotherm DR30 Marine Drawer has been designed to allow installations in restricted volumes, even on decks. At METS 2018 it is exhibited with splash protection, non-rusting stainless steel guides and flexible mounting brackets for any installation environment.

Fully new to the range is the exclusive Divino The One wine cooler which can maintain a bottle of wine or champagne at the perfect serving temperature. It can be integrated into the table 2 such that it is practically invisible. LED lighting in 27 optional colors rounds of this elegant wine cooler. At the Webasto booth various wine cellars, refrigerators, freezers and ice makers will also be on display.

In addition, Webasto will also be exhibiting its proven heaters for boats and ships of various sizes. Among others the fuel-operated Thermo Top Evo, Thermo Top Pro 120 and Thermo Top Pro 150 with heat outputs of between 5 and 15 kW, as well as the Air Top 50 air heater.
