Neubrandenburg – June 7, 2019 – For the eighth time in a row, Neubrandenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CIC) has awarded the Webasto site Neubrandenburg for its commitment in the apprenticeship of young people in the region. With the title “TOP-Ausbildungsbetrieb 2019“, CIC honors the high quality training and the achievements in vocational guidance of the automotive supplier. During the award ceremony at the house of culture and education, Neubrandenburg, the president of the CIC, Dr. Wolfgang Blank, congratulated training manager apprenticeship Matthias Schmidt, Jasmin Döhmer, expectant industrial management assistant, and Steven Müller, toolmaker in his third year of apprenticeship at Webasto Neubrandenburg.
Webasto Group continuously invests in strategic development. “Needless to say, this includes our employees. Competent professionals and qualified trainees are vital for the future success of our business. Offering good training and, thus, career perspectives to young people in the region is very dear to us and part of our social responsibility. I am very happy to see that the high aspiration we have with our apprenticeship, has also in 2019 been honored by the CIC”, says Dr. Andreas Dikow, plant manager Webasto Neubrandenburg.
In Neubrandenburg, Webasto produces heating systems for cars and commercial vehicles with all types of drive systems to customers worldwide. Currently, 45 adolescents are passing their apprenticeships at the site in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in five different occupational profiles. This year, two new jobs will be added: electronics engineer and IT specialist; both for automation engineering.
