Webasto at bauma 2019: Future-Oriented Systems Solutions

Stockdorf/Munich – April 8, 2019 – Webasto, one of the 100 leading suppliers to the automotive industry, will be presenting its innovative product portfolio for construction machineries at this year's Bauma from 8 to 14 April in Munich. Under the trade fair motto "Advanced Solutions Partner", at booth 339 in hall A4, the systems provider presents future-oriented solutions for the electrification of the construction machinery market as well as further developments in its core business area of heating and cooling systems.

Highly efficient solutions for electrically driven off-highway vehicles
Webasto is presenting its high voltage standard battery system with the advantage of its modular design. Due to the use of standardized modules the product development process is shortened and the battery system is applicable in several vehicle segments. This means that customers receive a tailor-made battery system with the well-known Webasto quality on attractive terms. In addition, the corresponding Vehicle Interface Box (VIB) was developed as an interface between the battery system and the vehicle for user-defined system configurations and programming. In addition, an active thermal management module for the battery system is in concept phase. Webasto also introduces two smart charging solutions: The new wallbox Webasto Live and the extremely powerful ProCore specially designed for forklift fleets. ProCore offers customers high flexibility through multiple customization options and is extremely small and lightweight.

Systems partner for heating and cooling solutions
Construction machines are in use worldwide and exposed to extreme working conditions. Webasto develops customized thermo systems for every requirement. One of the product highlights at the fair is the HVAC SP80, which provides ideal air conditioning for construction machines. Thanks to its very slim profile design, it offers climate comfort without restricting headroom or visibility. It has a cooling and heating capacity of about 7 kW. Due to its special design the complete integration of the HVAC SP80 into the manufacturer's existing control and electronic infrastructure is simple. Additionaly, with the high-voltage heater (HVH) Webasto provides a high-performance heating system for hybrid and electric vehicles. It creates pleasant temperatures in the cabin and pre-heats the battery to ensure that their efficiency is fully realized. Thanks to the innovative heating layer technology, the heater converts the stored electrical energy into heat with almost no loss, at an efficiency that is constantly above 95%. The different models are designed for voltages of between 250 V and 870 V and have heat outputs of 5.7 kW to 10 kW. Integrated multi-level safety measures ensure the highest levels of safety and robustness.
