Webasto at Caravan Salon 2021

Gilching – August 12, 2021 – This year, the global innovative systems partner to the mobility industry is focusing primarily on lightweight, space-saving heating and cooling systems for the caravan and motorhome sector, together with advanced solutions in the area of e-mobility. In Hall 13 at Booth A60 the company will for the first time be exhibiting its standard battery system, the new version of the Webasto Pure charging station, a gas heater for motorhomes and new refrigerator systems.

Solutions for sustainable and efficient electromobility

Webasto wants to make charging electric vehicles easier and more attractive by offering comprehensive and safe solutions. These include the standard battery system which, thanks to its modular design, is suitable for both electric and hybrid vehicles in the caravan sector. This year, the company is exhibiting the battery system at the Caravan Salon for the first time. All visitors are invited to come and learn more about ideas and developments in the field of electromobility at the Webasto booth. In this context, the automotive supplier is exhibiting the new version of its Webasto Pure charging station, which makes charging at home even more user-friendly. The central LED display indicates that charging is active with a flowing, gently pulsating color transition. Either a 4.5-meter or 7-meter attached cable with a Type 2 charging plug can be selected when purchasing. This provides greater flexibility in deciding where to locate the charging station. As part of its outstanding service, the company provides a five-year safety and quality promise at no extra cost, thereby significantly exceeding the statutory guarantee period of two years. A further benefit of the new Webasto Pure is the factory-integrated DC residual current device.

The new gas heater: compact in design, convenient in operation

Formerly known primarily for diesel heaters, the automotive supplier now expands its product portfolio in the field of gas heaters with the Heat Air 3 GT gas heater. Specially designed for camper vans, the heater operates quietly and impresses with its particularly simple installation and operation. The heat output can be set to three different levels, and a night mode ensures even quieter operation when sleeping. The unit is installed completely underneath the vehicle chassis, thereby saving valuable space inside.

Space-saving, high-performance cooling solutions

Webasto is exhibiting various space-saving cooling systems for motorhomes, including the Freeline Slim 140, an optimal solution for motorhomes with narrow kitchen units. The Freeline Slim 140 optimally utilizes valuable space in smaller vehicles as it still offers a capacity of 140 liters, despite its width of just 41.8 centimeters.
