Webasto Receives eMove360° Award for Electromobility & Autonomous Driving 2019

Stockdorf / Munich – October 15, 2019 – On October 14, the intelligent wall charging station Webasto Live was honored with the eMove360° Award for Electromobility & Autonomous Driving 2019 by an independent expert jury. It was awarded first place in the category Charging & Energy. From October 15 to 17, Webasto will present its e-mobility solutions at this year's eMove360° in Munich, Germany, including the awarded Webasto Live.

Located at booth no. 316 in hall A5, the system solutions provider will present charging stations for private households and businesses as well as battery and heating systems for electric and hybrid vehicles.

The intelligent wall charging station Webasto Live enables flexible networking over the mobile network and can be controlled via the Webasto LiveApp. Network interfaces, like LAN and WLAN, allow multiple charging stations to be interconnected, making dynamic load management possible. In addition, the charging station, which offers advantages for tradespeople in particular, provides authentication via RFID or smartphone. Furthermore, it supports forward-looking authentication via Plug & Charge (ISO 15118).

The Webasto Pure charging station which is designed for predominantly private households, was awarded the rating "very good" by the ADAC in August 2019. Decisive factors included it’s reliability, safety and ease of use. The charging station is compatible with all electric cars with type 2 plug, with a charging power of 11 kW or 22 kW available and thanks to the attached cable, it is easy and convenient to use.

Another feature of the presentation is the Mode 3 charging cable type 2 for charging while on the move, which is 4.5 meters long.

Karl Kolmsee, Director Product Portfolio Management Energy / Charging at Webasto will present current and future solutions for e-vehicle charging in a discourse with the title "Webasto Charging Solutions – innovation and market development” on October 17. at 17:40. The discourse will be part of the Charging & Energy Conference, which takes place in parallel to the trade fair.

Highly efficient battery and heating solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles
Webasto will also show heating solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles at the trade fair. The High-voltage heater (HVH) creates comfortable indoor temperatures and pre-heats the battery to keep it at its optimum temperature. Thanks to efficient coating heating technology, the HVH converts the stored electrical energy into heat with almost no loss and with an efficiency of more than 95 percent. The high-voltage heater models are designed for on-board power supply voltages ranging from 250 V up to 870 V and are available in the power levels 5 kW, 7 kW and 10 kW.

The Webasto Standard Battery System is also on show. With standardized battery modules, the system is individually configurable, extremely cost-efficient and suitable for various vehicle segments. The supplemental "Vehicle Interface Box" (VIB) serves as an interface between the battery system and the vehicle and enables both system configuration and programming.
